When the original Foxwoods opened in February of 1992, there were only three restaurants and a piano bar to wine and dine casino patrons. For many casino resorts this would have been enough, but Foxwoods didn’t stop there. Over the years, Foxwoods expanded rapidly to include all of the facilities and amenities available today. It’s easy to see why Foxwoods is getting so much attention, when you consider the staggering options just for dining – enough to keep you well-fed and well-fueled for your forays into the casino or those late nights exploring the complex.
There are 24 food and beverage outlets located throughout Foxwoods, ranging from quick and casual eateries to elegant, fine dining establishments. The cuisine ranges from Italian, Asian and seafood, to steak, pizza and deli. Al Dente (Italian), Han Garden (Asian), Fox Harbour (seafood) and Cedars Steak House are the gourmet restaurants. More casual options include the Festival Buffet’s endless options, The Bistro’s California style pizza and nouveau Italian cuisine, and The Deli, a full-service, New York style restaurant.
Given the number of places to deplete your funds and expand your waistline, there is no excuse for going hungry. In fact, you can satisfy your cravings anytime, day or night. Many restaurants keep late hours and a few are open into the wee hours of the morning. The Golden Dragon dishes up Asian cuisine until 4:00 a.m. weekdays and 5:00 a.m. weekends. The Veranda Café serves American favorites 24 hours a day.
It’s a safe bet that, no matter how you do at the tables or slots, you’ll leave Foxwoods well fed and a bit heavier, if not a bit richer. |
